Bubnell Cliff Farm is situated approx. ¾ of a mile from Baslow village along an unlit country lane and is approached via an uneven farm track. The farmhouse is over one hundred years old and consequently may have some features which make access for guests with limited mobility difficult. We are located in the Derbyshire Peak District, approx. 6 miles from Bakewell (nearest town) and 10 miles from Chesterfield and 15 miles from the outskirts of Sheffield. There are limited bus/taxi services from the village. If travelling without a car it is useful to book a taxi in advance.Baslow village supports a well-stocked Spar shop and numerous places to eat. There is adequate parking in the farm yard; access from the parking area to the front door is approx. 15 yds in distance and via gravel/flag stones. The house is accessed via 3 steps (without hand rail) to a front door opening into the hallway which carpeted and level. Assistance with luggage is normally available, if required.
Our dining room/lounge, with varnished wooden flooring, leads off the hallway. The dining table can accommodate up to 6 people on standard dining chairs. Our two bedrooms are both situated on the first floor and are approached by a flight of 16 stairs with handrail on the right hand-side. One bedroom is en-suite with a standard size double bed and the other has a king size bed and a private bathroom which is just along the landing. All bedding used is anti-allergy. Both bathrooms have standard size baths with overhead showers and standard height WC's and wash basins. The bedrooms are lit by central ceiling lights plus additional bedside lighting.
